Bikram Khadka (BK)

Bikram Khadka is a Senior Trekking Guide in Nepal with more than 10 years of experience leading trekkers through the country's major Himalayan regions. Originally from Dhading, Bikram grew up surrounded by views of the mountains which helped develop his interest in the Himalayas from an early age. What began as a fascination with the mountains eventually became a career, and he has now spent more than a decade working on Nepal's trekking trails.

Bikram's strongest experience lies in the Everest and Annapurna regions, two of Nepal's most popular trekking destinations. As an experienced Everest Trekking Guide, he has led trekkers through routes including the Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Valley, Everest Three Passes Trek and other trails across the Khumbu. He is familiar with the gradual altitude gains, mountain villages, changing weather and demanding sections of the Everest trails, allowing him to guide groups with a practical understanding of the region.

His experience as an Annapurna trekking guide is equally extensive. He has guided on routes including the Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Madi Himal Trek, Tilicho Lake Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill and other major routes in the region, experiencing the remarkable changes in landscape from the lower foothills to the high Himalayan terrain. His knowledge of the region extends beyond simply following the trail; he understands the villages, local culture, accommodation options, walking conditions, and the challenges trekkers may encounter along the way.

Over his career as a Nepal trekking guide, Bikram has also worked in several other important trekking regions, including Manaslu, Langtang, Mustang, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and other parts of the Nepal Himalayas. This broad experience has helped him develop a strong understanding of different mountain environments and trekking conditions. From the remote trails of Manaslu and Makalu to the culturally rich routes of Langtang and Mustang, he brings knowledge of both the popular and less-traveled sides of Nepal.

What makes Bikram particularly valuable as a guide is the experience he has built through years of actually being on the trail. He understands that successful trekking is not only about reaching the destination. It also involves maintaining a sensible walking pace, managing altitude, recognizing when someone needs a break, keeping the group informed, and making good decisions when weather or trail conditions change.

Away from the practical side of guiding, Bikram is known for being friendly, patient and approachable. He enjoys talking with trekkers about Nepal's mountain culture, traditions, history, villages and everyday life, adding context to the places they encounter along the way. For many visitors, these conversations become just as memorable as the mountain views themselves.

With more than a decade of experience, Bikram has become one of the most experienced guides at Eco Holidays Nepal. His combination of regional knowledge, mountain experience, and genuine care for trekkers makes him a trusted Trekking guide in Nepal and an important part of our team.

For Bikram, guiding is a profession built over years on the trail, one route, one mountain village, and one group of trekkers at a time.
